An exquisite antique Victorian locket from the late 19th Century featuring the words “Forget Me Not” across the front and a shield on the reverse topped with the initials “M.H.” from a previous owner.
“Forget me not” was a popular phrase during the Victorian era and was often used on lockets containing images of loved ones as it was a reminder that they will never be forgotten and will remain forever in their thoughts.
The piece is plated in yellow gold on the back and front with embossed lettering, chased patterning and a faceted border. It’s remained in excellent condition and is the perfect place to store those cherished family portraits.
